A hanging punching bag is a filled cylindrical heavy bag suspended from a ceiling hook or wall bracket. Ours is pre-filled to 25kg and stands 110cm tall, with a soft outer layer over a firm, compacted core. Every bag ships with a 1-metre chain, carabiner and ceiling hook.

Is a 25kg punching bag the right weight for me?
For most adults, yes. The long-standing guideline is a bag of roughly half your bodyweight, which puts the 25kg P105 in the right range for anyone from about 55kg to 85kg. It is heavy enough to absorb a solid punch without folding, and still light enough to swing and teach you timing. Our punching bag weight guide explains the reasoning in full.
Can I hang a punching bag in an HDB flat?
Not directly from the ceiling slab in most cases. HDB guidance limits objects suspended directly from a ceiling to about 6kg, which no heavy bag meets. The practical options are a wall-mounted bracket fixed into a structural concrete wall, or a free-standing frame. Our HDB installation guide covers both, and the WM-40 wall bracket is rated to 100kg.
Is the bag already filled when it arrives?
Yes. Every hanging bag ships pre-filled and compacted to its stated weight. You only need to attach the supplied chain and carabiner to your hook or bracket. There is nothing to pack, pour or settle.
Do I need gloves and hand wraps to use it?
Hand wraps are essential; gloves are strongly recommended. Wraps bind the small bones of the hand together so impact is spread across the whole fist instead of loading one knuckle. We include two 2.4m cotton hand wraps free with this bag — one for each hand, so you have everything you need on day one.
How much ceiling height do I need?
Allow the bag height plus roughly 40cm for the chain and hook, then leave at least 20cm of clearance beneath. For this 110cm bag that means about 1.7m of drop, which fits under a standard 2.6m ceiling with plenty of head room.
